Version One of our document management software, OurDisk has been very well received across a range of different markets with our client base growing every day. Thanks to valuable feedback from our customers over the last 9 months, we now have a whole bunch of feature requests that have gone into the melting pot for OurDisk V2.0.
We are very excited about the result getting closer to release as we continue to echo our passion for building user-friendly web software that makes doing business easier.

We’ve had an interesting couple of weeks in the complex and tedious world of trademark ownership. We have had to change the name of our newly launched document management software, FileSight. Apparently FileSight is not as original as we thought. Apparently, FileSite is the same as FileSight.
Semantics!
With a looming deadline for some magazine advertising, we were forced to think of a new name … a good one … that is still available … and design a logo … a good one … that doesn’t look like anyone else’s … in two days … bugger. So, we did what any self-respecting business would do – we went to the pub.
Unfortunately, that produced a lot of names like Fileasaurus and DocuMentalCase, but nothing actually useful. Finally, Dan saved the day at the eleventh hour, with OURDISK™. We’ve registered it in every possible way that something can be registered and the logo is a vast improvement on the FileSight artwork. (Sorry Hawk. )
Existing FileSight users will be switched to the new name over the next few weeks. Don’t worry; nothing will change except the name.
And so, without further ado, we smash a bottle of something bubbly on her bow and shove her off down the slipway and back out into the wild blue yonder.

Living in Brisbane, you will understand what good weather means. We enjoy almost 300 days of sunshine a year. However, when it does rain it’s like the end of the earth. At the moment, I’m thinking we’ve got about 38 days left.
As you can see from my bailing efforts, our courtyard is filling up fast and threatening to flood our office yet again. We’ve had to change the carpets once already this year and would like to avoid it again if possible.

KND have recently launched a range of graphing solutions for displaying business intelligence data. Our expert team have created a lightweight interactive graphing tool built using CSS, KND’s custom PHP framework, Mootools and Canvas. KND has just launched its new Strategic Planning software, ForesightHQ. You can find it at … www.foresighthq.com, believe it or not. The software has been developed in collaboration with company boards to accelerate their strategic planning process. We have been working with a key client for the past six months to fine-tune the software we’re extremely happy with it now.
We have always taken planning and goal setting very seriously at KND and know the difference between a goal and a new year’s resolution. A new year’s resolution is a great way to feel guilty for a month about something that you know you will never achieve, whereas a goal is an idea that is broken down into manageable chunks and attached to a timeline. This means it has a much better chance of getting done.
This is exactly what ForesightHQ does. It is a simple web-based planning tool that takes your big ideas and long-term goals and breaks them into manageable tasks. Although my days of foot-on-foldback-wedge rock moves are over and I am now up to my ears in the corporate world, going away for a conference or seminar is still a tour to me. Welcome to our brand new, all improved, air-bags-as-standard website. We are very proud of it and lovingly call it ‘Brown Town’ (or sometimes ‘Big Brown Chocolate Bear’). It’s a new and exciting look for KND as we forge full-steam into our 6th year of business.
With the addition of some extremely talented web specialist to the KND team, the innovations from this office have has been coming thick and fast. We have been inventing new systems and frameworks, solving impossible issues and even creating new colours. After all, brown is the new black.

Due to continued frustration with some of the larger hosting companies, KND now have our own hosting service. It’s faster than most hosting packages, with no limits on size or the number of email addresses you can have. If you have a problem, you don’t have to submit a support ticket and wait a day or two for us to get back to you. Just call us and we will sort it out.
