PROJECT: SaaS Application for eHealth

The Challenge

Each medical condition and procedure has a unique code that surgeries use for billing insurance companies and government. Allocating these codes is a highly skilled and time-consuming job.
KND has developed a Saas (Software As A Service) application with Resolutions Int. that enables eye surgeries to code their own procedures for a fraction of the cost.

The Solution

KND worked closely with the Resolutions team to produce Visicode. It’s scalable web software, built for admin staff within surgeries to generate the correct procedure codes – every time.
There are hundreds of complex permutations of diagnosis and procedures that combine to produce the resultant code. Wrapped up in step-wise wizards, the application produces the results in just a few minutes. Resolutions can add multiple practises, surgeries, users, patients and episodes.

Results

Now that the admin staff at the surgeries can do their own coding, there has been a dramatic decrease in human error and cost and it means the surgeries can get paid potentially the same day. (Coding used to only happen quarterly.)
Another huge advantage of SaaS software is you don’t need to change any of your I.T. infrastructure. It’s online. All you need is a web browser.
