The Challenge

ADCO Constructions is one of Australia’s top construction companies with offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Our challenge was two-fold. Firstly to revitalise the visual elements of the website with simple navigation, strong brand and presentation of key projects and secondly, to build an intranet to bring together the 350+ employees to use the online resource for document distribution, workplace health and safety, and organisation wide communication.

The Solution

A public website that is a breeze to use and features a project presentation section controlled by ADCO administration. Projects can be highlighted on the homepage, or be part of the common collection presented in a compact ‘slideshow’ format.

The secure Intranet was a big step forward for the company in using online technology. They now have a common place to handle documents and strategic information. Even staff working on building sites can access it!
A staff directory is easily searchable with photos of each staff member and is great for new members of the team to getting up to speed with ‘who’s who’.
The Intranet homepage has a newsfeed of sporting results and favourite links for discussion on Monday mornings and a photo gallery for those embarrassing team day events!

Results

The client was shocked at the number of people that actually visited website after our analysis was presented. The website has turned into a valuable marketing tool that supports the way the company builds relationships, wins contracts and strong reputation as a premier national building and construction company.

The Intranet is now a powerful tool for the organisation to unify information delivery and build company culture. Strong information design has resulted in an environment that handles compliance for quality systems with ease. People and documents are found easily and the system will handle growth with a modular approach to development.
