I just love educating our clients about the web and digital, it’s just such a vibrant space there’s so much going on. Today it’s all about video, and content has moved from being read in media to being seen and heard in media so really activating that video content and really driving that content hard.
In fact, on my first day in business I had coffee with an old friend who’d been a consultant and a b2b businessman for many years before. He said “Jason if you want to be successful in this game you need to be seen, be read, and be heard”, so it it’s a mantra that I’ve used and we’ve used all the way along in our journey, and we’ve managed to survive for 17 years so we must be doing something right!
But, what really disappoints me about my colleagues in their 40s 50s and 60s is they have so much to offer but are scared to jump in front of the camera. My challenge to you as business owners in your 40s 50s and 60s is to jump in front of the camera, a mobile phone camera exactly like what I’m doing, and get your knowledge out there!
There’s so many 20-somethings and 30-somethings not scared to jump in front of the camera and tell their stories but they don’t have the experience that you have as business owners. Share your knowledge about your success what works what doesn’t work in your industries and get in front of the camera to do it.
LinkedIn and Facebook are great channels in your website and YouTube to really get your content out. There it’s a great form of content marketing and we’ve seen some fantastic results in the last few months from doing this, so I look forward to seeing you online!Posted by Jason Hawkins on 5 May 2019
